When I was a child, I used to watch my mother and grandmother load sacks of Maras salt onto donkeys. They walked for hours, crossed villages, came down hills… carrying on their backs more than just a product: they carried tradition, history, resilience.

Decades later, when the pandemic silenced tourism and brought InfoCusco to a halt, I remembered those images.
And I realized that the answer was to return to the origin.

With technology, logistics, and a strong drive to keep going, I began distributing authentic Maras salt throughout Peru. What once arrived on foot now arrives by vehicle. But the soul remains the same. Ordering process: Place your salt order by Wednesday at 10:00 am; all orders are processed on Thursdays and shipped on Friday afternoon.
